Despite having 9 hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I really like my classes, particularly Android Development. Within the first two days, I got my first app signed and working on my phone! Good stuff.I started a playthrough for Rune Factory 3, since it's short enough and offers great replayability. I'm about to tackle the first boss, in Privera Forest. That raccoon is going down! Watch the playthrough here. I can't wait to dig deeper into Daria's personality, too.I'm thinking about touching up my Flash game a bit more...possibly adding a loading screen so the game doesn't auto-play right off the bat.I hope everyone has a fruitful and happy New Year! |

I hope this will be a very productive and satisfying New Year for all. 2010's behind us now, and 2011 is rearing its head!
I beat Rune Factory 3 in about a week after cracking it open. Natsume wasn't messing around with this third installment--it blew my socks off. I even put down Dark Dawn to play it more, and I'm still playing it. Everything has been improved since the first Rune Factory game, the characters are much deeper, humor abounds, combat is excellent, and the usual farm mechanics are very smooth. This game features much replayability, as well. I'll probably play through it again at some point to see what else I can discover about this amazing game!
First day of Winter classes today...hopefully I'll still have some time for Gensou no Ken, Flash game development and the like. |

First post!
So it seems Christmas worked out rather well, even though I worked much more that day than I should have. I'm quite excited to dig deep into the two new games I got as presents: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and Rune Factory 3! Knowing me and my love of games that immerse the player, I hope to really get a lot out of them. I haven't touched a Golden Sun game for about 3 years now, so it's great to get back into a nice RPG classic series. Nintendo Power gave Rune Factory 3 a great rating, and even though I skipped RF 2 I still have high hopes after enjoying the depth of the first Rune Factory game.
The protagonist of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. I feel like a champ as he does (or at least looks) right now, having completed enough work today.
Unfortunately, Christmas also brought me an illness...this kind of thing usually happens around Winter break for my family. Ick. Still, I'm looking forward to next week's events, when I start digging deeper into Gensou no Ken with anyone who wishes to discuss the game. I'm hoping to get a great turnout, as good as last Friday's discussion was. Hopefully Gensou no Ken can blossom into a full game--it will just take a lot of effort on my part. Where there's a will, there's a way! |
